Magnetic ring inductance of iron silicon aluminum and ferrite

Mirrack analyzes the magnetic loop inductance of ferrosilicon and ferrite materials. As we all know, different magnetic cores will cause different characteristics of the magnetic ring inductance. The application of the iron powder core will be different. What is the difference between the ferrosilicon magnetic ring inductance and the common ferrite magnetic ring inductance?

Mirrack

1, iron silicon aluminum magnetic ring inductance

The loss is lower than that of the iron powder core, and the good straight-steel magnetic flux is biased, and the cost is between the iron powder core and the iron-nickel-molybdenum (MPP) magnetic powder core.

2, nickel-zinc ferrite magnetic ring inductance

Nickel-zinc ferrite has low magnetic permeability and high resistivity for applications ranging from 2MHz to hundreds of megahertz

3, Mn-Zn ferrite magnetic ring inductance

The manganese-zinc material has a high magnetic permeability. MnZn ferrite can be used in applications where the operating frequency is below 5MHz. Nickel-zinc ferrite has a high resistivity and can be used in the frequency range of 2MHz to hundreds of megahertz.

Except for common mode inductors, the impedance of manganese-zinc materials is a good choice for applications below 70MHz, and nickel-zinc materials are recommended for applications from 70MHz to hundreds of gigahertz.
